The Piccola Napoli is a popular pizza restaurant in Mondovì, in the province of Cuneo. It is ownedby Luigi Borrelli, more commonly known as Gigi. The Neapolitan pizza chef uses a wood-fired oven to make his classic Neapolitan pizza, the thin-crust Romanapizza, and also a varied menu of grilled meat and fish based dishes. The restaurant specialises in traditional Italian cuisine, offering authentic flavours of typical Neapolitan plates, in both their meat and fish dishes.They offer interesting versions on traditional Piedmontese dishes made especially from beef, ribs, pork, steaks and cutlets, which aregrilled over hot coals, in front of the customers. Grilled fish is one of the specialities offered.You can choose between sole, prawns, shellfish, as well as swordfish, cod, and other fish that are suitable for this type of cooking. Not forgetting of course the delicious, light house speciality “frittomisto” (a variety of fried fish and vegetables).
The restaurant is open from 10 am until midnight, but is closed on Mondays.It is under new management and is not only a pizza restaurant in Mondovì, but also abar/pub. The delicious variety of pizzas are baked in a wood-fired oven and can be customised with a choice of ingredients, as per tradition. There is also a wide selection of fish and meat based dishes that are grilled on the spot. The menu also includes special offers: the working lunch at midday for just 10 Euros and also the Giro pizza, which is available every Thursday for 15 Euros (regularsoft drink included in the price). La Piccola Napoli also organises and hosts events, especially on Friday evenings (karaoke, live music, birthdays, graduations). During the summer, guests can enjoy the outdoor area.

In addition to the classic Neapolitan pizza, the pizza restaurant in Mondovì also offers the delicious Romana pizza. The Neapolitan pizza has a thick, doughy consistency, with a soft crust, which means it cannot be torn into equal slices when you pick it up.
